The original publication launched in 1999 as an East London scene ‘zine. The title was revived in 2016 with a mission to uncover emerging talent, influential movements and original thinking with an authentic, iconic approach born out of independent roots. Disorder puts a spotlight on exciting new work, and strives to inspire and empower.
Music, fashion, film, design and the personal concerns of an international-but-like-minded audience are the core topics of Disorder’s unique editorial mix. For its creative audience and amongst media professionals, Disorder has a reputation for contributing to topical conversations with insight, humour and honesty. The title’s roving eye has fixed on talents from The Killers to Machine Gun Kelly, Kate Nash to Finn Wolfhard of Netflix super hit Stranger Things; its contributors have opened up on sex, drugs and rock n roll, as well as disability and racism; special features have included curve models, tattoo artists and female coders.
Born out of a popular print publication, Disorder is now focused on developing its digital face via disordermagazine.com and social media channels.
